The rules and guidelines that govern your use of SaveKit.

1. Introduction

Welcome to savekit.io (“SaveKit”, “we”, “us”, or the “Service”).

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of SaveKit.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. About the Service

2.1 What does SaveKit provide?

SaveKit is an online tool that processes URLs in real time, allowing users to access and download publicly available media from supported third-party platforms.

SaveKit works directly in the browser and does not require a user account.

2.2 SaveKit is not a content hosting service

SaveKit does not:

  • Provide permanent media storage or a user-facing archive of downloaded files
  • Publish or index content, or make content browsable or searchable on SaveKit
  • Maintain a library of content downloaded by users
  • Provide hosting for downloaded files
  • Claim ownership of third-party content
  • Guarantee that any content will be accessible or available to download

2.3 How the Service works

Content requests are processed in real time.

SaveKit does not bypass:

  • Login or authentication requirements
  • Paywalls
  • DRM or similar technical protections
  • Privacy settings or other access restrictions

SaveKit acts solely as a technical tool that processes URLs submitted by users.

2.4 Advertising

SaveKit is provided free of charge and is funded by advertising.

Ads may be served by Google AdSense or through clearly labeled placements selected by SaveKit. SaveKit does not control the content of third-party ads or the websites to which they link.

The use of advertising cookies and personalized advertising is described in our Privacy Policy, including consent requirements that apply in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

2.5 Intended use

SaveKit is a technical tool intended for ordinary, lawful purposes, such as:

  • Study and research — saving public content to read, watch, or refer to later
  • Reference materials — saving content you are permitted to use for personal or professional purposes
  • Keeping your own content — saving posts or other content that you created and published publicly

SaveKit is not a content distribution or redistribution service.

Republishing, re-uploading, selling, or sharing content after downloading it is a separate act for which you are solely responsible.

3. Third-party platforms

3.1 No affiliation

SaveKit is an independent service. It is not owned by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any supported platform, including Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, and others.

3.2 Compliance with platform rules

When using SaveKit, you are responsible for complying with:

  • Third-party platform terms of service
  • Copyright and intellectual property rules
  • Community guidelines
  • The laws that apply where you use the Service

Violating these rules may result in restrictions on your platform account or other legal consequences.

3.3 Platform changes

Third-party platforms may change their URLs, APIs, methods of providing access to content, or restrictions without notice.

SaveKit is not required to provide an alternative method for bypassing those changes or restrictions.

4. User responsibility and prohibited conduct

4.1 User responsibility

By using SaveKit, you agree that:

  • You are at least 13 years old or meet the minimum age required by the law where you live, whichever is higher
  • You will use the Service lawfully and responsibly
  • You will respect copyright and other intellectual property rights
  • You will only access or download content that you have the right to use

4.2 Prohibited conduct

You may not use SaveKit to:

  • Infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights
  • Access or download private, restricted, or non-public content
  • Bypass logins, DRM, or platform access controls
  • Distribute, republish, re-upload, or share content you do not have the right to share
  • Use content commercially without the appropriate rights or license
  • Remove or alter attribution, source information, or creator identification from content you do not own
  • Build a collection, archive, dataset, or copy of another person’s content
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated methods that overload or abuse the Service
  • Reverse engineer, modify, or interfere with the Service
  • Attempt to download sexually explicit, NSFW, adult, or harmful content
  • Attempt to access Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
  • Attempt to download content that promotes terrorism, mass violence, or designated extremist organizations
  • Attempt to download content that incites violence or harm against an individual or group

4.3 Community safety

SaveKit is not a content hosting or publishing platform. We nevertheless use technical measures intended to limit use of the Service to access or download harmful content.

SaveKit prohibits use of the Service to download:

  • Sexually explicit, NSFW, or adult content
  • Content intended for mature audiences or labeled 18+
  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
  • Content depicting, promoting, or glorifying terrorism, mass violence, or designated extremist organizations
  • Content that incites violence, murder, or harm against an individual or group
  • Content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors

SaveKit uses automated detection to block this content where possible. Because the Service processes URLs submitted by users, however, we cannot guarantee that every instance of prohibited content will be detected.

We may improve or change our content detection and blocking mechanisms at any time. Illegal content may be reported to the relevant authorities as required by law.

5. Copyright and intellectual property

5.1 Respect for copyright

SaveKit respects copyright and intellectual property rights.

Copyright complaints are received and handled under our DMCA Policy.

SaveKit does not publish content or offer user-facing media hosting, and it has no control over source content stored on third-party platforms.

5.2 User responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to access, download, and use content.

SaveKit does not determine or guarantee that downloading particular content is lawful for a particular user or in a particular country.

5.3 No encouragement of infringement

SaveKit does not promote, encourage, or knowingly facilitate the downloading of copyrighted or restricted content without the appropriate rights.

To help us act more quickly, provide details about the content, your rights in it, and the action you would like SaveKit to take.

SaveKit will review valid requests and, when technically possible, may locate and remove an identified copy from its delivery cache.

Because SaveKit does not control the source platform, we cannot remove the original content there. You should also contact the platform where the content is published.

6. Service availability

6.1 No guarantees

The Service is provided as currently available. SaveKit does not guarantee that:

  • The Service will always operate or be uninterrupted
  • Every URL will be processed successfully
  • Content will always be accessible or available to download
  • Processing results will always be stable or accurate
  • The Service will always be compatible with every platform, device, or browser

6.2 Changes to the Service

SaveKit may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

8.1 Service provided “as is”

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties other than those required by law.

8.2 Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, SaveKit is not liable for:

  • Direct or indirect loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service
  • Loss of data, revenue, or profits
  • Legal consequences arising from user conduct
  • The content, actions, or changes of third-party platforms
  • Content becoming unavailable or being unavailable to download

8.3 Maximum liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and because the Service is provided free of charge, SaveKit’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

9. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and defend SaveKit against claims, losses, or costs arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your infringement of third-party rights

10. Suspension and termination

SaveKit may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we determine that you have breached these Terms or used the Service in a way that may harm the Service, its users, or third parties.

11. Applicable law and user rights

Copyright laws and rules governing the copying of content vary between countries.

You are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws that apply where you use the Service.

If downloading or copying particular content is not permitted by law, you should not use SaveKit for that content.

SaveKit provides a general-purpose tool and cannot determine whether each download is lawful for a particular user or item of content.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any mandatory consumer rights available to you under the law where you live.

12. Changes to these Terms

SaveKit may update these Terms when necessary.

When changes are made, we will update the revision date at the top of the page. Your continued use of the Service after an update means that you accept the revised version.
